ALADDIN DONATES TO CHARITIES : 3RD ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Over The past 30 Days Was
Donated To Select Charities

Aladdin Systems, Inc., today
announced the results of its $1 per Web sale donation over the past
30 days was $22,996. The donation amount is partly due to the recent
successful launch of two new products: StuffIt(tm) Deluxe 8.0 for
Macintosh, including better compression, security and safety, for
Internet communications and a new product launch, SpamCatcher, the
#1-rated spam email filter to stop spam in its tracks.

The charities Aladdin selected to be the 2003 recipients were:
1. American Cancer Society: http://www.cancer.org/
2. America's Second Harvest Food Bank: http://www.secondharvest.com/
3. Guide Dogs for the Blind: http://www.guidedogs.com/
4. Hospice Caring Project: http://www.hospicesantacruz.org/
5. Make-A-Wish Foundation: http://www.makeawish.org/
6. *Lupus Foundation of America: http://www.lupus.org/

"Established initially for the September 11th relief fund, Aladdin
continues its tradition of giving, and will donate $1 from each
Website sale to helpful and worthwhile charities," said Jonathan
Kahn, Aladdin Systems CEO.

"Aladdin experienced several losses this year, including a dear
friend and a family member of the company, said Jennifer Watson, PR
director for Aladdin. "We found personal solace in a couple of the
charities we've donated to, so we're happy to donate and help other
families in time of need. And our company mascot, Halstead, is a
career change guide dog from the Guide Dogs for the Blind school."

*The donation time was extended a week, in order to add the Lupus
Foundation, as a result of losing a close friend of Aladdin's who
recently died. Rest in peace Mark Kawakami.
